Established in 15 August 1952, the Patna Municipal Corporation, also called PMC is the urban governing body of Patna city. It is a legislative body, headed by the mayor. Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (or BSPHCL), headquartered at Patna is responsible for electricity supply within the state of Bihar.The power distribution in the city of Patna is looked after by Patna Electricity Supply Unit (PESU).
